Dolomite is a common rock-forming calcium carbonate and magnesium. A type of limestone, provides valuable nutrients to plants and helps change the pH of the soil by raising it to match the plants’ needs. It’s sometimes called dolomitic lime or dolomitic limestone, and provides more nutrients than straight lime.

The Effects of Flinders Dolomite
Dolomite is used to sweeten acid soils whilst at the same time providing plants with two essential plant nutrients – calcium and magnesium. Magnesium is an essential mineral for healthy soil. Magnesium deficient plants are often yellower, have shorter root systems, and produce noticeably lower yields than plants grown in healthy soil.
Soil acidity is expressed as pH. The lower the pH the more acidic the soil. Dolomite helps to raise the pH, and assist in releasing nutrients trapped in the soil.
Flinders Dolomite also helps loosens heavy soils not only making them easier to work but also making it easier for your crop to establish a healthy and supportive root system which means you have healthier stronger plants that give a much better yield.

Flinders Dolomite mine is privately, located near Peak Crossing in the Scenic Rim Region in Southeast Queensland. Our product is transported and processed at our facility at New Chum near Ipswich.
Here we produce our 20kg bags and 1000kg bulk bags of fine and coarse Dolomite products. We can supply bulk Dolomite to order.
